Our founding director, Digby Bristow, was tragically killed by an enraged, wounded buffalo on 20 December 2023. The buffalo had been caught in a bone-crushing gin trap, and had had its leg severed by the device. Digby went to relieve its suffering, but the adult bull saw him in the thick brush first, and came blazing out of the trees at Digby before he could take the finishing shot.
He was a passionate conservationist and a great raconteur, and his sparkling humour and keen understanding of the bush will forever be remembered by his family and the hundreds of clients he hosted over his 43-year career in Tourism.
